The Maryland Energy Innovation Accelerator ("MEIA") was created in 2019 by the Maryland Clean Energy Center ("MCEC"). MCEC has an economic development mission to advance the adoption of clean energy, and energy efficiency products, services and technologies.
MEIA's mission is to create investible clean energy businesses. An investible business has the momentum and credibility to obtain third party investment to grow its operations and launch/grow its business.
Investible businesses satisfy the needs of capital providers in 3 essential areas:
Wade focuses on MEIA's administration, sponsorship and partnership development, recruiting founders, executives, and partners, and event planning.
Mike focuses of MEIA's content creation and startup team programming. Mike also coaches pitch deck creation.
Brian provides mentoring for teams, assists with MEIA's strategic planning, and administers MEIA's US Economic Development Administration grant.
Kathy provides strategic oversight and guidance. Kathy enables MEIA to leverage the deep reach and relationships in Maryland's energy ecosystem to support MEIA's teams.
